A Christmas Carol

"I am sure that I ought to profit from many things," replied the nephew, "Christmas among them. But I thing of Christmas as a good time. It is a time when people forgive each other. It is a kind and pleasant time. It is a time when people open their hearts and are kind to those they meet; and they remember that they are all making the same journey. So, uncle, Christmas has never put one gold or silver piece in my pocket, but I believe that it has done me good, and will do me good. And I thank God for it!"
